Your Boudoir Photographer | Bossier City, Louisiana Boudoir Photographer

I have been a maternity, newborn, family, and boudoir photographer for 11 years. WOW! Time does truly fly by.

Boudoir photography helped me in so many ways. When I started, I was struggling with my own confidence. I was always told I was loud, anxious, or “a lot.” Well if I am a lot, find less. LOL. But seriously, I am not afraid to say therapy can help transform your entire brain. However, it takes a lot of time and effort to rewire your brain. Especially if you struggle from trauma. I will always be a mental health advocate. If you follow me, you know that. Back to the story, when I started I always thought why do I compare myself so much? I know it’s normal in a sense but I couldn’t grasp why I wasn’t okay with who I am. I had to dig internally to realize there is ONLY one me. This is what I look like so what features do I love most? That is when I started positive affirmations. It changed how I viewed myself. I even remember how my mom would say okay you don’t like that but picture yourself without it. Once I did that, I realized wow, I would look different. So who I am is unique. I wouldn’t be me without my features.

Why am I comparing myself when I can embrace who I am? I AM BAD ASS.

Not only did I discover that, I also thought about how I AM MUCH MORE THAN MY LOOKS OR WEIGHT. Confidence is just your mindset and the best part is you can change how you view yourself. Social media doesn’t help but I promise every single lady I have met had some sort of insecurity and when they left, they didn’t even think of that anymore. That is the BEST part of boudoir. It’s not just photos, it’s LIFE changing. I am no longer worrying about how I can be someone else. I am worried about how can I be the BEST version of myself. You feel confident the more you focus on yourself instead of others. My first boudoir session I had thoughts and nervousness. Once I seen them, I was like WOW! I LOVE myself.

When did boudoir actually click for me?

When my friend asked me to take a few of her for her boyfriend. I had to hype her up because she was so worried about how she looked. I told her to trust me. Even though I had so much to learn, I knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable. I have always been AMAZING at that. I just needed to do that for myself to help other women too. It was important to me so I didn’t feel like I wasn’t doing what I preached. Once she saw them, she still TALKS about how much it changed her. She saw herself in a different light. From my perspective. She said, “I finally see myself different than I ever thought I would.” Her emotions made me emotional. After that, I knew boudoir would be a passion of mine. I know how important it is to make women feel confident. Not only look confident.
